OwnCloud is a software project: https://owncloud.org/

It is packaged for Debian: https://packages.qa.debian.org/owncloud

OwnCloud is a web-app written in PHP, and as HC explained previously it 
can interact with a separately running XMPP service - e.g. ejabberd 
(written in Erlang).
